“I Mean, I Liked STK And Butter, Too, Before They Were Full Of Freshman.”

NYC Prep just aired on Bravo last night for the first time. NYC Prep is about 6 teenagers who come from wealthy families and deal with prep school life in Manhattan. Its similar to those "Real House Wives Of (Insert Major City Here)" shows but with kids instead of house wives. I was expecting these kids to be doing something outrageous and insane, I don't know something along the lines of renting out Kiss & Fly just because it was a Saturday night, but that of course didn't happen. The entire episode was essentially about:

1. General Background info on all 6 kids (vital to any pilot episode)
2. 2 girls wanting this boy (Sebastian)
3. PC (one of the guys on the show) saying the dumbest and most ignorant things possible
4. Operation Smile (a major charity one of the girls is helping out with)
5. Japonais

In regards to #4, the places these kids went to weren't outrageous or out of the ordinary. I mean, they went to Japonais...twice, once for lunch (which its always dead during) and once for dinner. Then they also went to 212 (awful food) and this Thai restaurant in the Village that looks really nice on the show, but in person looks cheap. The only restaurant I was impressed with was Philippe (a spawn of Mr. Chow). All and all, I wasn't impressed with any of the things that happened on the show. Nothing spectacular happened, and most of the restaurants they went to I've been to...multiple times (and I'm a 16 year old from Queens, NY...not a 16 year old who lives on 76th and Park whose parent's have a multi-million dollar bank account).
